Lectures and presentations

In our last newsletter we mentioned about our initiative to educate people about printmaking techniques through lectures and presentations. We are happy to see that more and more people show interest in wanting to know about this elaborate process of creating an artwork, and that the printmaking techniques of old Italian masters are receiving their well-deserved appreciation. Thanks to you, who have had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with this process and are spreading the word, this could be accomplished. A big thank you to all of you for your share.

Accompanied by professor PhDr. Luboslav Moza, students from Bratislava University of the Third Age visited on December 10th and 11th, 2018, as part of their art history studies the premises of Discovery Fine Arts atelier. The aim of the presentation was to introduce the work of Frank Jalsovsky, and the printmaking techniques his artwork was created with.

Exhibitions

While working on preparation of his largest artwork so far, Frank also participated in the international exhibition Perla dell’Adriatico, which was held in Grottamare, Italy from May 26 to June 17, 2018.

This time he received for his artwork the

PREMIO DI RAPPRESENTANZA: GUINTA REGIONE MARCHE award

At present, his artwork is part of an exhibition representing Slovak art at the Odessa Literary Museum in Ukraine, organized by ARTEM. The exhibition ends on December 19, 2018.

The most beautiful holidays of the year are approaching, and on this occassion we would like to wish you a joyful and peaceful Christmas, filled with love and understanding, and may the new year 2019 bring a new beginning, a healthier, happier, more successful one, may the good in our hearts win and kindness prevail.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued trust and loyalty. It means a lot to us.
