Spring has sprung, the nature is awaking to life. But not only the nature, also we humans welcome the spring in an anticipation of something new.
Spring has also touched our studio so we would like to share with you some news that may be of interest especially for collectors of Frank's artwork, that you are also receiving a moral satisfaction of quality.
Based on his achievements and valuable contribution to the society Frank Jalsovsky was included in the Oxford Encyclopedia
of successful Personalities of the Czech and Slovak Republic.
The Oxford Encyclopedia has more than 160 years lasting tradition. It is a lexicon of famous personalities, with the aim to keep their biographies for present and future generations. In principle, it is a form of writing the history.
(In 1849, the very first biographical encyclopedia was dedicated to British royal family, high aristocracy, politicians, judges and officers. In 1897, the first modern edition of the encyclopedia of the cousins Black appeared in England. In this period, biographies of personalities from different professional sectors could already be found in the libraries.)
Another publication that features Frank's profile is a special edition book Successful Slovaks in Canada, published by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Foreword to the publication wrote Governor General of Canada Michaelle Jean, Chairman of the Slovak National Council Peter Pellegrini, and the Minister of Culture of Slovakia Marek Madaric.
